Republican Congresswoman BLASTS Major League Baseball over photo ID hypocrisy

South Carolina Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace recently criticized Major League Baseball for hypocrisy.

Major League Baseball said it is pulling the All-Star Game out of Georgia over concerns about the state’s recently passed voter election integrity legislation, including strengthened voter ID.

But a Republican Congresswoman pointed out that the woke sports organization also requires photo ID to pick up tickets!

“Hey @MLB, this you?” Congresswoman Nancy Mace tweeted recently, with what appears to be a screenshot of MLB’s policy on picking up “will call tickets,” meaning tickets ordered online or over the phone but picked up at the stadium.

MLB is just the latest sports organization, after the NFL and NBA, to cave to the liberal media.

Currently, anyone in Georgia can obtain a photo ID for free. Photo identification is already required for most activities people need to do to live, such as renting an apartment, opening a bank account or obtaining most government services, such as signing up for welfare.

The ID system, which requires voters to put the number of their identification on their absentee ballot, replaces a signature verification system. Election judges no longer have to try to match signatures, an inexact science that an average person is not able to do -- now they simply have to check numbers on a ballot against a list.

“And I think it’s going to be a big help and it’s in no way going to alienate or disallow someone from the opportunity to vote because most people have these IDs. If they don’t, we’ll give them one for free,” Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp told The Daily Signal recently.

“And even if you don’t have that, there’s provisions in the bill where you can still get an absentee ballot by submitting other documents that are listed out in the legislation,” Kemp said.
