Singer Mariah Carey Says Super Bowl Is 'Colin Kaepernick Appreciation Day'

Singer Mariah Carey decided to make a political statement during the Super Bowl and tweeted out “Happy Colin Kaepernick Appreciation Day!” despite there being no references to the former quarterback throughout the game.

Some sports personalities took notice of the absence of Kaepernick throughout the game and slammed the NFL for not honoring him at any point.

Jemele Hill was one of those people and tweeted “In that Inspire Change commercial, the NFL forgot to show the part where they blackballed Colin Kaepernick, have only 3 black NFL head coaches and no majority black ownership.”
