Former NFL Player Kills 5 People in Shooting

Former NFL cornerback Phillip Adams allegedly shot and killed five people at a home in South Carolina before killing himself.

Prominent South Carolina doctor Robert Lesslie, 70, his wife Barbara, 69, and their grandchildren, Adah and Noah ages 9 and 5 were all pronounced dead at the scene. A contractor, James Lewis, who was working at the house at the time was found to shot to death outside, he was 38. A sixth victim remains hospitalized where “serious gunshot wounds”, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.

Phillip Adams, 33, was drafted in 2010 by the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons.

Adams was found by police hours later at a nearby home after a stand off with police, Adams shot himself with a .45-caliber weapon just before midnight. Adams is believed to have been treated by Dr. Robert Lesslies.

Turning Point USA founder and president, Charlie Kirk tweeted “A black NFL football player just committed a mass shooting. Why is Joe Biden and the media ignoring this? Who are they going to blame?”

Joe Biden on the same day day announced sweeping new gun restrictions while simultaneously not mentioning the mass shooting allegedly committed by Phillip Adams hours before.

Comedian Tim Young blasted the NFL tweeting that they, “had a lot to say about BLM, but is strangely quiet on the African-American player who ALLEGEDLY committed a mass shooting on a white family.”
