UPDATE: 18 States Inform SCOTUS They Support the Texas Lawsuit to Reverse Battleground Results

With the addition of Arizona on Thursday, eighteen states have now informed the Supreme Court of the United States that they support Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and his efforts to sue battleground states MI, WI, GA, and PA.

The states supporting the suit, all of which have Republican attorney generals, are the following:

  • Missouri

  • Alabama

  • Arkansas

  • Florida

  • Indiana

  • Kansas

  • Louisiana

  • Mississippi

  • Montana

  • Nebraska

  • North Dakota

  • Oklahoma

  • South Carolina

  • South Dakota

  • Tennessee

  • Utah

  • West Virginia

  • Arizona (filed a separate brief in support of the case.)

Trump tweeted stating he planned to intervene with Paxton's legal effort at the Supreme Court, which the defendants have dismissed as a political stunt by the Republican attorney general.

The attorney generals of seventeen states that President Trump won filed an amicus brief on Wednesday.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R) filed a separate brief in support of the case on Thursday.

The SCOTUS declined to hear a separate bid from Rep Mike Kelly and Sean Parnell challenging Biden's win in Pennsylvania.

The Supreme Court has yet to rule on Paxton's request.
