The National Republican Senate Committee (NRSC) announced on Monday that they awarded former President Trump with their inaugural Champion for Freedom award over the weekend at Mar-a-Lago.
NRSC Chair Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) announced on Monday via his social media that he had awarded President Trump with their prestigious new “Champion for Freedom” award over the weekend.
The junior Florida Senator shared a photo of him with former President Donald J Trump holding the award while smiling.
Senator Scott wrote on Facebook and Twitter that he was “proud to recognize President Donald Trump with the inaugural NRSC Champion for Freedom Award. President Trump fought for American workers, secured the border, and protected our Constitutional rights.
The Senate Republican social media accounts did not announce the award or photos from the ceremony, however they did retweet Senator Rick Scott’s post about the new and incredibly prestigious award.
The NRSC also shared an official press release on their website.
The New York Post reported that Republican donor groups met in Palm Beach over the weekend, and the former president addressed members of the Republican National Committee on Saturday as they gathered at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
