Fox News Contributor Juan Williams Calls GOP, “Party of Grifters and Kooks”
Fox News’ left-wing commentator Juan Williams published an Op-Ed in The Hill claiming the GOP is now the “party of grifters and kooks” Monday morning.
Williams wrote about his time interviewing William F Buckley and Ronald Reagan in an attempt to claim he had the authority to critique the modern day Republican party.
“At this point, Buckley and Reagan must realize their conservative movement has become a circus of grifters and con men” the Democrat journalist wrote.
The Fox News commentator even bizarrely pointed to failed Speaker John Boehner, a figure most known for smoking profusely and crying -- certainly not his conservative principles and ideals.
Williams wrote that, “The best known Republicans on Capitol Hill today, Boehner writes in a new book, are not conservatives. Instead, the front rank of the party is filled by loudmouths willing to voice the wildest conspiracy theories.”
What Williams failed to mention is that Congressman John Boehner has never been known for being a leading voice of conservatism and he was a failed and ineffective Speaker of the House.
In addition to citing William F Buckley and former Congressman Boehner, Williams attacked Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) even claiming they are the “Trump/QAnon class of 2020.”
Williams did not provide any evidence or clarification of the claims that Boebert and Greene were involved in QAnon. The full opinion piece can be read here.
Fox News has not released a statement about the opinion piece written by their left-wing employee.
