Kamala Harris’ children’s book, “Superheroes are Everywhere,” was reportedly distributed to migrant child
Vice President Kamala Harris’ children’s book, Heroes are Everywhere was reportedly being distributed to a migrant child being held at a Long Beach, California shelter in a welcome package.
UPDATE(April 29th, 2021): The shelter in Long Beach is now claiming it was ONE donated book — it was a Fox News and New York Post story originally.
“Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t been to the border to address a crisis she was tasked to help fix — but a children’s book she wrote is waiting there for young migrants who are being welcomed into the country,” the New York Post reported on Saturday.
Unaccompanied migrant children brought from the southern border to a housing complex in Long Beach, California, will be given a copy of the Vice President’s 2019 children’s book, “Superheroes are Everywhere,” in their welcome kits.
Several conservatives took to Twitter to voice concerns about ethics violations and inappropriate use of tax dollars.
The administration’s border czar, Roberta Jacobson, even admitted last month that their messaging has been inconsistent with regards to the border.
In the 31 days since Joe Biden has directed VP Harris to head the US response to the record border surge, she has yet to visit the US-Mexico border or hold a stand alone press conference on the crisis.
Harris recently made a trip to New Hampshire, a US-Canada border state, to promote the administration’s new $2 trillion infrastructure proposal, and was greeted by protestors calling for her to visit the US-Mexico border instead.
