GOP Rep Mike Rogers Pledges To Get Back At Democrats For MTG: ‘They’ve Got More Nuts Than We’ve Got’
Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL) pledged to do the exact same thing Democrats did to Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), revoking committee assignments, once the Republicans regained majority control in the US House of Representatives while giving a radio interview Friday.
The Alabama Representative and ranking Republican member on the House Armed Services Committee claims the Democrats in the House have now set a precedent by expelling Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committee assignments for controversial statements made on social media.
During a local radio interview on Friday in Mobile Alabama FM Talk 106.5, Rogers said that hated what, “they’re doing with what we call MTG, Marjorie Taylor Greene, because it’s just a terrible precedent….They’re trying to hold something somebody said before they were in Congress and take their seats away. And plus, we have never allowed in the history of the Congress allowed the majority party to decide what committees minority parties are in. It’s always been each party decided that for themselves. This is a terrible precedent, but I can just tell you — if they go and do this, we’ve made it clear to them in 22 months, when we’re in the majority, we’re going to do the exact same thing to them.”

Rogers concluded his point stating that the Democrats, “got more nuts than we’ve got. We’re going to take them off their committees for the crazy stuff they’ve said, as well.”
