WATCH: Former GOP Rep. Comstock Claims Trump Is Not the Future of the Party

Former Northern Virginia Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) joined Anderson Cooper Friday on his CNN program Anderson Cooper 360 to talk about the future of the Republican Party.

During the failed Congresswoman’s interview she claimed that President Trump is not the future of the Republican Party, despite the fact that President Trump has served in office more recently than Congresswoman Comstock.

Rep Comstock went on to praise the likes of Rep Liz Cheney, Senator Ben Sasse, and Rep Adam Kinzinger — all most famous for their opposition for former President Trump. Comstock stated that she thinks, “the brave Republicans like Liz Cheney, like Ben Sasse, like Adam Kinzinger standing up to the bullies, are the future of the party” while referring to the Freedom of Caucus.

Comstock’s interview is shared below:

Former Congresswoman Comstock claimed that “Somebody who can only get 35% of the national vote is not the future of the party. A 70 something-year-old man is not the future of our party.”

The former Virginia Congresswoman lost her 2018 midterm election to now Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) who received a resounding 56% of her districts vote to Comstock’s meager 44%.
