WATCH: Liz Cheney Says Donald Trump Should Not Speak at CPAC
Congresswoman Liz Cheney, the third-ranking House Republican, says President Trump should not speak at CPAC and is not the future of the GOP.
A tense moment on Capitol Hill today as GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy and Conference Chair Liz Cheney clashed on whether former President Trump should be speaking at CPAC.
McCarthy was asked “Do you believe President Trump should be speaking at CPAC? He responded with a firm “Yes he should."
The same reporter followed up with Cheney she said “That’s up to CPAC," she said. "I’ve been clear about my views about President Trump and the extent to which, following Jan. 6, I don’t think he should be playing a role in the future of party."

Liz Cheney’s critics have argued her views do not represent the majority of the GOP. Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) even hosted a rally in her home state of Wyoming to support the removal of Cheney from GOP Leadership and potentially even Congress.
