REPORT: Biden Advisor Anita Dunn Called COVID-19, “The Best Thing That Ever Happened” to Biden
One of President Biden’s top advisers allegedly described the COVID-19 pandemic as “the best thing that ever happened” to the newly elected leader, a recently released book reveals.
Anita Dunn made the unseemly comment in a conversation with an associate during the presidential campaign, journalists Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes stated in their book.
Dunn’s comments were a sentiment that many on the left believed but would not say out loud or in public. In the book Lucky: How Joe Biden Barely Won the Presidency, the writers claimed that even Biden’s campaign officials believed the pandemic was a good thing but they would never say it in public.
The comment made by Dunn was first reported by The Guardian on Wednesday as they received an early copy of the book for review.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has not yet commented on the alleged comments by Dunn.
Over 500,000 Americans have died of the COVID virus and roughly 100,000 of those have died during Joe Biden’s first month+ in office.
Dunn previously served in the Obama White House as the Communications Director and is currently serving in the Biden White House on a temporary basis.
