Biden Bans The Term ‘China Virus’ From Past And Future Federal Documents

President Biden signed an executive order this week that vowed to fight xenophobia directed towards Asian-Americans, specifically in the case of labeling COVID-19 the “China Virus.”

Included in this order was a directive to the Health and Human Services (HHS) to search through past executive orders by Donald Trump and remove the term “China Virus” if it appears anywhere. So far, no phrase has been found.

Included in the order is a directive to the HHS to add more inclusive language and cultural guidance to the COVID vaccine so that it will be easier to distribute.

The Biden administration has claimed, without any proof, that the term “China Virus” has led to an uptick in attacks against Asian-Americans.
