Congressman Burgess Owens SLAMS Democrats over Voter ID claims

Rising Republican star Burgess Owens recently slammed Democrats for pushing the false narrative that black people cannot obtain photo ID.

For years, Democrats have been pushing back against voter ID requirements by claiming that black people would be discriminated against because they have trouble obtaining photo identification, such as a driver license.

A black Republican shredded this argument in just a few minutes during a recent Congressional hearing.

Burgess Owens, a Utah Republican, said that “true racism” is claiming black people are too stupid to figure out how to get a free photo ID.

“It’s disgusting and offensive” to compare voter election integrity laws, like the one recently passed in Georgia, to the Jim Crow-era. Owens, a former NFL star, lived through the Jim Crow south in the 1950s and 1960s.
