Black Lives Matter co-founder says she wants to abolish criminal justice system
Patrisse Cullors made headlines over comments about dramatic changes to the criminal justice system she’d like to see, the BLM co-founder is also facing criticism for owning four mansions while claiming to be trained in “Marxism.”
The left-wing Black Lives Matter leader urged the complete abolition of the criminal justice system after the criminal justice system in Minnesota convicted Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
“Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors posted a video to her Instagram page Thursday saying people must “fight” for an ‘abolished’ criminal justice system after the murder of George Floyd and police-involved shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant,” Breitbart reported.
Cullors said the decision was “yesterday,” meaning April 21, but the decision actually came out on April 20.
“The verdict of George Floyd’s murder was a victory in accountability but not a victory towards abolition,” Cullors said on her Instagram page.
“While we watched Derek Chauvin be convicted for murder, a Black child named Ma’Khia Bryant was murdered by police, proving there is no justice,” Cullors said.
Bryant was a knife-wielding teenage girl who reportedly tried to stab several people. Police footage of the encounter had been released the night before Cullors made her comments.
Reardon, the Columbus cop, quickly shot and killed Bryant, most likely saving a black woman who was being attacked by Bryant.
