Biden Secretary of State Blinken Says Goal is Not to “Contain” Communist China

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told 60 Minutes that the Biden administration’s policy was not to “contain” China, but rather to uphold “rules-based order.”

Bejing Joe Biden’s Secretary of State seems far too comfortable with a China-dominated 21st century.

“But I want to be very clear about something, and this is important. Our purpose is not to contain China, to hold it back, to keep it down. It is to uphold this rules-based order that China is posing a challenge to. Anyone who poses a challenge to that order, we’re going to stand up and defend it.”

Blinken admits that China’s goal is world domination, saying “I think that over time, China believes that it can be and should be and will be the dominant country in the world.”

This new approach to handling the aggressive communist adversary is a significant change from President Trump’s tough on China, America First policies.
