New York Times, Washington Post, and NBC Forced to Retract Part of Giuliani Coverage
The fake news media was caught pushing fake news about Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani.
The mainstream media often rushes to push fake news about President Trump and his allies.
Since many seem to only care a little a bit about the truth and are more worried about getting retweets, it’s inevitable that their falsehoods would eventually be uncovered.
“The New York Times, Washington Post and NBC News all issued retractions Saturday for their coverage of Rudy Giuliani following a raid of his Manhattan apartment by the FBI,” the New York Post reported.
An earlier version of this article misstated whether Rudolph W. Giuliani received a formal warning from the F.B.I. about Russian disinformation,” the New York Times admitted. “Mr. Giuliani did not receive such a so-called defensive briefing.”
“The Washington Post’s correction, on a story about prominent Americans being targeted by Russian disinformation, was similar,” the New York post said.
“An earlier version of this story, published Thursday, incorrectly reported that One America News was warned by the FBI that it was the target of a Russian influence operation.”
The corrections are yet another source of embarrassment for the mainstream media which has struggled to maintain attention as they regularly refuse to cover the Biden presidency critically.
The Washington Post for example ended their database of presidential fact-checks after only doing it during the Trump presidency.
While President Trump and the media’s hysteria about him drove clicks, the media companies have struggled lately to figure out how to stay relevant.
