Google removes diversity leader over anti-Semitic blog post from 2007
Google seeks to show how woke it is, but it employed an alleged anti-Semitic person to be an international diversity leader.
Google has moved from being a search engine company to be a left-wing company that pushes a far-left social agenda. Its spending on diversity initiatives came back to hurt it after revelations that a leading diversity officer at the corporation wrote a number of anti-Semitic statements in 2007.
“Google’s head of diversity strategy said in a 2007 blog post that Jews have an ‘insatiable appetite for war’ and an ‘insensitivity to the suffering [of] others.’ The comments were part of a longer meditation from Kamau Bobb, now head of diversity strategy at Google, that also slammed Israel’s military actions in Gaza and Lebanon that same year,” the Washington Free Beacon reported on June 1.
After the article came out, Google decided to reassign Bobb, but not fire him.
“We unequivocally condemn the past writings by a member of our diversity team that are causing deep offense and pain to members of our Jewish community and our LGBTQ+ community,” Google said, according to SFGate.
It isn’t clear what comments he made critical of the gay agenda.
“The post is likely to cast a new light on Google’s diversity strategy in the wake of demands from a group of employees that the company cancel its business contracts in Israel and publicly condemn Israel’s military defense operations in Gaza,” the Free Beacon noted.
Staffers at the far-left corporation have recently encouraged the company to cease work with the state of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.
One of the demands, as printed in a biased article from left-wing Mashable asks Google for “the termination of contracts with institutions that support Israeli violations of Palestinian rights, such as the Israeli Defense Forces.”
