Washington NFL football team bans Native American headdresses and war paint from games
The team, formerly known as the Washington Redskins, has caved to leftist political correctness and refused to let people wear Native American garb.
Fans of the Washington Football Team will be banned from wearing popular war paint to home games this season.
This policy, inspired by liberal political correctness, is likely to upset many fans.
“Washington has banned fans from wearing Native American headdresses or face paint to games at FedEx Field this season, the team announced Wednesday,” ESPN reported.
The team “will be known as the Football Team for 2021, with the permanent name being announced ‘early in 2022,’ according to team president Jason Wright. He has said they don't want to announce the name until they also have settled on a logo and a new branding of the organization as well as completing the trademark process.”
