Customers and Franchise Owners Calling for Subway to Drop Sponsorship of Megan Rapinoe

Hard-working franchisees said that the far-left, anti-Trump spokesperson is hurting their sales.

While the corporate Subway office may be pushing the foul-mouthed anti-Trump soccer player Megan Rapinoe, the small business owners who run its franchises are rebelling.

Rapinoe has made a name for herself by pushing hard left politics, while failing to capture a gold medal for the U.S. Women’s soccer team at the Olympics. She was also a leader on the team when a teenage boys soccer team defeated it. Subway has featured Rapinoe in an ad but denied that she was a spokesperson, though she obviously represents the company as commonly understood.

The Daily Caller reported:

A group of Subway franchise operators said they have received “backlash” from customers who do not support Megan Rapinoe’s appearance in the company’s “Eat Fresh Refresh” commercials, Business Insider reported.

The World Cup and Olympic champion, who has a history of kneeling during the national anthem, is one of several celebrity athletes – including Tom Brady, Stephen Curry, and Serena Williams – who appear in Subway’s new ads. However, many Subway customers view her as un-American, and franchise operators are growing concerned about how this will affect sales, according to Business Insider.

American patriots who just want to get a good meal and not be bombarded with messages from Rapinoe, have also pushed back against her inclusion in ads.

“Boycott Subway until Subway fires the anti-American … Megan Rapinoe, the creep who kneels for our beloved National Anthem!” one person wrote in a note left at a Subway store.

As corporate America embraces a far-left social agenda, many patriotic customers have considered taking their hard-earned dollars elsewhere.

Should there be a nationwide boycott of Subway’s until they remove Rapinoe as a spokesperson? Do you think you will take your money elsewhere? Share your thoughts below!
