Team USA basketball loses first game since 2004

Team USA Basketball lost to France in the first game of the 2021 Summer Olympics. The team is led by Coach Gregg Popovich, a vocal opponent of Americans owning guns, but a tacit supporter of China.
“They can’t even win World Wars, but they can apparently beat the USA in basketball. If that’s not humiliating, then I don’t know what is,” Dave Hookstead noted at the Daily Caller.
It’s the first Olympics loss for Team USA Basketball since 2004.
“One person who has found himself at the center of a lot of criticism is head coach Gregg Popovich,” Fox Business noted. “Despite Popovich's Hall of Fame NBA résumé, decorated with five Finals victories and more than 1,300 regular-season wins win the San Antonio Spurs, his record at the international level doesn't quite stack up.”
