Projected Number 1 Draft Pick Trevor Lawrence Speaks Out Against Satan Shoes
College football legend and projected top draft pick Quarterback Trevor Lawrence criticized Lil Nas’ latest Satan themed shoe.
Lil Nas X teamed up with MSCHF, a New York based creative arts company, to create the controversial "Satan Shoes."
The shoes are made with pairs of Nike Air Max 97, which typically retail anywhere from $160-$220. They also filled the air bubble in the shoe with 60cc of red colored ink and shockingly a drop of human blood.
National Champion Quarterback Trevor Lawrence weighed in on the Sunday afternoon tweeting that the, “line has to be drawn somewhere. Smh.” SMH of course standing for “Shaking My Head.”
Trevor Lawrence is a heralded football player expected to be drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars first overall in next month’s NFL draft. He is considered a generational talent to many NFL scouts and executives.
Only time will tell if Lawrence’s outspoken disapproval of the shoes will spark outrage from leftists. It’s important to note that Lawrence is an outspoken Christian and will most likely be playing in a NFL city that is one of the largest Republican-led cities in the United States — Jacksonville, Florida.
The shoe is designed with the Nike Air Max 97. The soul of the shoe contains a drop of real human blood.
666 pairs will retail for over one thousand dollars. The disturbing music video the shoes are themed after can be seen below.
After a firestorm was created on Twitter over the shoes, Lil Nas X issued a video titled “Lil Nas X Apologized for Satan Shoe” however the rapper did not apologize, he further antagonized Americans outraged by the sneakers.
Candace Owens accused the rapper and the shoes of playing a major negative role in culture, especially for children, a demographic the rapper is very popular with.
“Congratulations on being a pawn in a game you likely don’t even understand” Owens tweeted.
