MLB ratings crash as league embraces Black Lives Matter, leftist social issues
“America’s pastime” is struggling as it caters to a fringe political view at the expense of patriotic Americans.
Major League Baseball is learning the hard way that while it can embrace the agenda of Black Lives Matter and political leftism, fans do not have to tune in to watch baseballs.
“The television ratings for Sunday Night Baseball, MLB’s flagship primetime offering and ESPN’s premier weekend evening broadcast, have sunk 49 percent from last year,” Breitbart reported.
“A 7-inning Cardinals-Braves Sunday Night Baseball game averaged just 931,000 viewers on ESPN over the weekend, down 49% from the comparable window in 2019 (Cubs-Dodgers: 1.84M) and the least-watched Sunday night game this season,” Sports Media Watch reported.
“These numbers are abysmal and most certainly can be attributed to the league’s embrace of Black Lives Matter and their decision to pull the All-Star Game out of Georgia in retaliation for the state’s attempt to make it more difficult for Democrats to steal elections,” Breitbart noted.
