LeBron James mural vandalized in hometown with clown nose, called a ‘LA FLOP’

James failed to capture the NBA championship this year and his “Space Jam” movie has underperformed expectations. Now a mural of James in his home town appears to have been vandalized.

Someone vandalized a mural of LeBron James in Akron, OH — the superstar’s place of birth.

“The unidentified vandal spray-painted the words ‘LA FLOP’ across the mural Monday, along with a red clown nose, Akron police spokesman Lt. Michael Miller said,” according to cleveland.com

The local news org reported:

The mural, painted by Kent State student Chardae Slater, on the side of the Cork and Brew and the Marley and Me Novelty Shop faces West Market Street. It’s located near St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where James graduated from in 2003, and not too far from the I Promise School, the school James helped fund for at-risk Akron school children.

“There are no known suspects in this vandalism case. However, if police can identify someone responsible, the property owners would be given another opportunity to press charges,” cleveland.com reported.
