Gushing With Patriotism And Joy, Tamyra Mensah-Stock Talks About Gold Medal Victory
The patriotic comments stand in contrast to the frequent bashing we hear from leftist Olympians like Megan Rapinoe and Gwen Berry.
Tamyra Mensah-Stock brought tears of joy to many Americans, as the Olympian wrestler excitedly thanked God and celebrated America after winning a gold medal.
“It's by the grace of God I'm able to even move my feet. Like, I just leave it in His hands and I pray that all the practice [helps me compete],” Mensah-Stock said.
“I’m so happy I get to represent USA!” she said after winning the medal.
Social media users quickly praised her for her positive comments.
“This is our America! This is what the American people are all about and what [our] spirit encompasses! This is what makes us exceptional as a country,” one person wrote.
“Good stuff. She didn't say it was a perfect place or that we don't have issues to solve. Just said she loves it & is proud to represent it & you can do anything with the right frame of mind,” another person said.
“A great example and she actually respects and appreciates the country that helped give her the opportunity to compete on an international stage. We needed to see this, thank you and thank you @MensahTamStock we are proud of you” a different commentator said.
