Buffalo Bills player says he will quit football before being forced to take the COVID vaccine
Cole Beasley is one of a growing number of NFL players that are fighting back against coerced vaccination.
A wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills has directly challenged the NFL over its COVID vaccine policies.
“Everyone — Hi, I'm Cole Beasley and I'm not vaccinated!” Beasley wrote on Twitter last Friday. “I'll be out in the public. If your [sic] scared of me then steer clear, or get vaccinated. Point. Blank. Period. I may die of covid, but I'd rather die actually living,” Beasley said.
“The league relaxed protocols for players and staff who are fully vaccinated -- including the loosening of Covid-19 testing to once every two weeks, and lifting the face covering requirement at club facilities or during travel,” CNN reported. “Additionally, vaccinated players and staff who come in close contact with someone who tests positive will not be required to quarantine.”
“Unvaccinated individuals must also remain physically distant from others in club facilities, and will not be allowed to eat with teammates or other staff. During travel, they will not be allowed to leave the team hotel,” CNN reported.
“If I'm forced into retirement, so be it,” Beasley said.
