Buffalo Bills Fan Starts A Petition To Ban Gov. Cuomo From Attending Playoff Game

During the Buffalo Bills’ playoff-bound season, Governor Andrew Cuomo and state officials banned fans from attending games. Last week, the governor said that he is allowing 6,700 Bills fans to be in attendance for the playoff game against the Colts and says he plans on attending.

The issue? A Bills fan has started a petition to ban Cuomo from coming to the game and over 20,000 Bills fans have voiced their support.

“So Cuomo is going to attend our playoff game after telling us that we can only attend at less than 10% capacity? If he thinks he has more right to a seat in that stadium over people who have waited over 20 years for this opportunity, then people better be there to protest his entry. This is OUR team! This is OUR home. We don’t want you here,” Jeffrey Dorenzo, the founder of the petition, said in the description.

State officials have also set up numerous restrictions for fans attending the game. Among them are proof of a negative COVID test 72 hours before the game, contact tracing after the game, and no tailgating will be allowed.

The petition is projected to reach over 25,000 signatures today. You can check out the petition here.
