BREAKING: Tiger Woods In Surgery After Major Car Accident in Southern California
Tiger Woods was hospitalized following a major single car crash in L.A. County on Tuesday morning. Rescued by ‘Jaws of Life’.
UPDATE (3:40PM ET Tuesday): the ‘Jaws of Life’ were not used to rescue Tiger Woods, they were however on hand at the scene.
UPDATE (5:06PM ET Tuesday): Tiger Woods has sustained multiple fractures and breaks in his legs and is undergoing serious surgery, his health is in serious condition. There is no indication alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
"On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes," officials say.
"The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage."
"The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick 'Tiger' Woods," officials confirmed.

The golf legend Tiger was in the area for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades.
The crash is under investigation.
Tiger Woods reportedly suffered multiple leg injuries and entered into surgery after being transported via ambulance.
Tiger Woods was the sole occupant of the vehicle and there were no known weather issues the morning of the accident.
