Joe Biden Vows To Put in Place Order on Transgender Rights in Sports

President-elect Joe Biden has promised to his supporters that he will reinstate the Obama-Biden guidance on transgender students’ access to sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms in accordance with their gender identity.

Biden alluded to this promise approximately a year ago on Twitter stating that, “transgender equality is the civil rights issues of our time.”

Joe Biden’s campaign website makes the bold promises to the transgender community for his very first day in office. An excerpt is below:

On his first day in office, Biden will reinstate the Obama-Biden guidance revoked by the Trump-Pence Administration, which will restore transgender students’ access to sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms in accordance with their gender identity. He will direct his Department of Education to vigorously enforce and investigate violations of transgender students’ civil rights.

The Biden-Harris Administration has also made the promise to sign the Equality Act into law, which would remove federal  recognition of the two sexes.
