WATCH: Biden Administration Staffer Blocks Ted Cruz From Taking Video At Migrant Center
Republican Senator Ted Cruz released footage Sunday showing an apparent DHS staffer attempting to block the concerned Texan from filming the conditions inside a migrant holding facility in Donna, Texas.
Texas Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn led a delegation of Republican senators to Donna, Texas where migrants are being packed into facilities designed for much smaller numbers of people.
“Please give dignity to the people. Please give dignity to the people. Please respect the people, the rules,” the staffer aggressively told Cruz while blocking his camera.
“So you work for the commissioner, you’re a senior adviser, you were hired two weeks ago and you’re instructed to ask us to not have any pictures taken here because the political leadership at DHS does not want the American people to know it,” the outraged Senator from Texas replied.
The video footage from inside the Donna, Texas migrant facility can be seen below.
Notably the DHS staffer was violating COVID social distancing rules to invade Senator Cruz’s space to block his camera.
“How far is Joe Biden going to stop the American people from seeing inside the Donna CBP facility” the Texas Senator tweeted Sunday.
On Friday, the Texas Senator tweeted out four troubling photos of the facility, calling it s “humanitarian and a public health crisis.”
