All Three Trump Nominated Supreme Court Justices Reject Texas Lawsuit

Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett all joined Chief Justice John Roberts and the 3 left-wing justices rejecting to hear the Texas lawsuit against the four battleground states.

The ruling was released in a three-sentence order.

“The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections,” the Supreme Court order stated. “All other pending motions are dismissed as moot.”

President Trump tweeted that the Supreme Court, “really let us down.”

Left-wing commentators and elected officials seemed to believe that President Trump’s nomination, Justice Amy Coney Barrett would need to “recuse” herself from any 2020 Election cases. Barrett proved those doubters wrong by being one of the Supreme Court Justices who denied the Texas lawsuit from being heard.

No dissents were issued.

Only justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito wrote a separate statement saying they would have given Texas permission to file the case, but would grant no other relief. Four out of the nine would have needed to support hearing the case in order for it to have proceeded.
