This GOP Senator Is Defending Liz Cheney and Lisa Murkowski
While Senator Murkowski and Representative Liz Cheney are currently facing backlash due to their votes related to the second Impeachment of former President Trump, one US Senator has come to their defense.
Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) defended Murkowski and Cheney while interviewing with NBC’s Chuck Todd on Meet the Press Sunday.
The Wyoming Senator praised the Alaska Senator stating, “Lisa Murkowski knows Alaska better than anybody, and she's an incredible fighter for American energy. She hasn't made an announcement if she's even going to run again. If she does, I'm going to support her.”
While discussing Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY), the Senator claimed that Cheney was a fighter when it comes to opposing Joe Biden’s administration.
Liz Cheney is currently the head of the House Republican Conference while Barrasso is the chair of the Senate Republican Conference.
Barrasso did clarify that he disagreed with Cheney’s vote on impeachment adding that, “She voted one way. I voted the other."
