Texas Governor Greg Abbott announces plan to build border wall and arrest illegal immigrants
Republican Governor Greg Abbott is taking the action because the Biden team has refused to enforce immigration law.
The Biden-Harris team has opened the floodgates to illegal immigrants, but Texas is fighting back against the White House.
“Texas Governor Greg Abbott told Breitbart Texas the State will immediately begin building border barriers in areas where migrants can easily cross the Rio Grande border with Mexico,” Breitbart reported. “The barriers will, in part, enable state law enforcement to arrest migrants for violations of state law.”
“Texas will immediately begin construction of border barriers in areas like Del Rio where migrants can easily cross unsecured sections,” the news site reported.
Under the Biden administration, illegal immigrants have been encouraged to flood the border and sign up for welfare. Unlike Trump, this current administration has reduced border security and withdrawn a number of policies that discourage illegal immigration.
Months after being appointed by President Biden to address the immigration crisis, vice president Kamala Harris finally visited Guatemala, though she has yet to visit the border.
The Guatemalan president told her that Biden’s open borders policies have fueled the exodus from his country into the United States. White House staffers reportedly thought Harris failed on the trip.
“Vice President Kamala Harris endured a rocky first foreign trip since taking office, with sources telling CNN her two-day swing through Mexico and Guatemala left some administration officials quietly perplexed about what they perceive as her bumpy answers to questions about whether she will go to the US-Mexico border,” CNN.com reported.
“Several sources say there was a real hope inside the White House that Harris' first trip abroad would be a success, and worry that what looked like ill-prepared answers to that inevitable question would overshadow it,” CNN reported. While the officials overall liked her trip, her embarrassing answers when asked why she had not visited the border disappointed the White House.
