T-Mobile to terminate corporate employees who aren't vaccinated by April
The phone company said in a memo that they plan to fire employees who choose not to take the COVID-19 vaccine by April 2nd.
Phone company T-Mobile said it will fire its hardworking employees who have made the personal medical decision to not take the COVID-19 vaccine. They will also reportedly put workers with 1 dose on unpaid leave.
The announcement came after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Jan. 13 that blocked President Joe Biden's COVID-19 vaccination-or-testing mandate for large businesses.
“T-mobile will require certain employees to be fully vaccinated by April 2, one of the most high-profile corporate actions after the Supreme Court rejected earlier this month the Biden administration’s plan to require vaccines or regular COVID testing at companies with more than 100 workers,” Fox 29 reported.
The memo read:
"Employees who have not yet taken action to receive their first dose and upload proof by February 21 will be placed on unpaid leave. Affected employees who do not become fully vaccinated by April 2 will be separated from T-Mobile."
"We understand that this is a deeply personal decision for some employees but we believe that taking this step will put us in the best position to protect our T-Mobile community.”
Millions of Americans have freely chosen to get the COVID-19 vaccines, which is their right. But in a free country, we believe citizens should be able to make their own medical decisions, without a corporation or government forcing them to (and the US Constitution agrees).
Conservatives on social media blasted the major American based phone service company.
