Supreme Court Upholds Arizona’s Ban on Ballot Harvesting
In a 6-3 decision, SCOTUS upheld two key provisions of Arizona’s election integrity laws liberals called “racist.”
The Supreme Court struck down a lower court’s ruling that Arizona’s ban on ballot harvesting violated the Voting Rights Act of 1965 on the grounds that it disenfranchised minority voters.
The 6-3 decision was split along ideological lines with Justices Roberts, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Thomas, Alito, and Barrett ruling to uphold Arizona’s election integrity laws. All 3 liberals predictably dissented.
The ruling in Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee is the latest failed attempt by the left to use race as a political tool to undermine simple rules to protect America’s elections.
The most closely followed element of the case was the ban on ballot harvesting. Conservatives have long decried ballot harvesting as a corrupt practice rife with fraud.
While Democrats are expected to continue pushing the narrative that election security measures are somehow racist, it appears they have a long way to go in actually winning that argument.
