Reporter Who Exposed Bill Clinton-Loretta Lynch Tarmac Scandal Found Dead of “Apparent Suicide”
Birmingham, AL news anchor Christopher Sign, 45, was found dead Saturday morning. Local authorities are investigating his death as a suicide.
Local police and fire in Hoover, Alabama responded to a call early Saturday morning and arrived to find the former Alabama football player and prominent reporter dead, according to AL.com.
”Our deepest sympathy is shared with Chris’s loving family and close friends,” Sinclair Broadcast Group Vice President and General Manager Eric S. Land said in a statement.
Sign is best known for breaking the story detailing former President Bill Clinton’s corrupt and highly unethical meeting with Obama’s Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, in the midst of an ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified emails.
His book detailing the story, Secret on the Tarmac, was published in January of 2020.
The timing and alleged cause of death has sparked a wave of online conspiracies that Sign may be another alleged Clinton “victim,” in the same mold of the convenient deaths of Clinton enemies Seth Rich and Jeffrey Epstein.
In 2020, Sign told Fox News that his family had received “significant” death threats in the aftermath of the story.
