REPORT: Woke Salvation Army asks donors to apologize for “white-dominant culture”
It appears the charitable organization is moving to the far-left, embracing a leftist racial agenda. The Salvation Army denies the reports.
The once-great Salvation Army, which is supposed to provide food and job training to people in poverty, appears to have decided to embrace radically anti-American Critical Race Theory. CRT is a broad term that refers to endorsing the idea of white privilege, white guilt and other far-left racial ideas that come from academia.
Breitbart reported:
The Salvation Army has followed the lead of other woke organizations in entering the establishment media-manufactured race war and is asking donors to offer a “sincere apology” for whiteness, as detailed in a resource guide “developed to guide The Salvation Army family in gracious discussions about overcoming the damage racism has inflicted upon our world.”
The Salvation Army’s International Social Justice Commission crafted the guidance, which seeks to urge donors to “understand and acknowledge the definitions of race and racism and how the social construct of race has affected society” and ultimately “lament, repent and apologize for biases or racist ideologies held and actions committed.”
The backlash against the leftist political agenda has already begun, with donors withdrawing money from the now-leftist Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army has denied the reports that they asked donors to repent for their skin color.
