Record high 4.3 million Americans quit their jobs in August
There are millions of job openings, partially due to vaccine mandates and high welfare payments.
Millions of people quit their jobs in August, according to new data.
“According to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on Tuesday, 4.3 million Americans quit their jobs in August. The nationwide quit rate increased to 2.9% of the workforce,” USA Today reported. “That's the highest percentage ever reported by the BLS Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey series.”
The situation for employers is bad, partially influenced by vaccine mandates and governmental policies that pay people more to stay unemployed.
“The number of Americans voluntarily quitting their jobs surged to a record high in August and there were more than 10 million vacancies, pointing to a tightening labor market that could help to keep inflation high as companies raise wages to lure workers,” Reuters reported.
Inflation continues to increase, partially driven by high-energy prices due to the AOC-Biden-Green New Deal agenda, which includes halting new oil and gas exploration on federal lands.
“Inflation is way above the Federal Reserve's flexible 2% target, while gross domestic product growth estimates for the third quarter are mostly below a 3% annualized rate. The economy grew at a 6.7% pace in the second quarter,” Reuters noted.
In addition to high gas prices, Americans are also paying more at the checkout line, as Biden’s economic agenda leads to record-high grocery prices.
