Pro-Trump NFL Star Herschel Walker Will Run for US Senate in Georgia
Walker, 59, is a Heisman Trophy winner and avid supporter of the former president.
Former NFL star Herschel Walker will run for the U.S. Senate in Georgia, President Donald Trump recently said in an interview.
"He told me he’s going to, and I think he will,” Trump told Clay Travis and Buck Sexton recently, according to The Hill.
"I had dinner with him a week ago. He’s a great guy. He’s a patriot. He’s a very loyal person,” Trump said.
Walker would run in the GOP primary for a chance to take on far-left Senator Ralph Warnock. Warnock supports higher taxes, unlimited abortion and many other positions out of step with Georgians.
