President Trump Promises to Travel to Alaska to Unseat ‘Disloyal’ Lisa Murkowski
Former President Trump has promised to do everything in his power to make sure Senator Lisa Murkowski is not re-elected to the US Senate in 2022, even potentially traveling to the non contiguous northern state.
In a statement to POLITICO, former President Trump stated that he, “will not be endorsing, under any circumstances, the failed candidate from the great State of Alaska, Lisa Murkowski. She represents her state badly and her country even worse. I do not know where other people will be next year, but I know where I will be… in Alaska campaigning against a disloyal and very bad Senator.”
Trump’s political team has also commissioned polling on Senator Murkowski, showing the seriousness of their interest in unseating her.
Senator Lisa Murkowski never quite saw eye to eye with President Trump and his administration. Murkowski was a frequent critic of President Trump and regularly voted with the Democrats against the former President’s agenda.
Murkowski currently scores a putrid 37% lifetime grade from Heritage Action, a trusted conservative 501c4 organization.
Lisa Murkowski was one of seven Republican Senators who voted to convict President Trump in his second impeachment trial.
Murkowski admitted her guilty vote on impeachment could cost her adding that, “I know that my actions, my vote may have political consequences. And I understand that. I absolutely understand that. But I can't be afraid of that.”
