President Trump Endorses Rival to Republican Who Voted to Impeach

Donald J Trump endorsed a former campaign and White House aide to challenge Ohio Republican Anthony Gonzalez.

President Trump released a statement endorsing former aide Max Miller to face off against a Republican congressman, Anthony Gonzalez, from Ohio who supported his impeachment.

I am honored to be endorsed by President Donald J. Trump as I begin my campaign for Congress.

I will never back down and will never betray my constituents.

The statement from President Trump’s Save America PAC reads as follows:

“Max Miller is a wonderful person who did a great job at the White House. He is a Marine Veteran, a son of Ohio, and a TRUE PATRIOT. Current Rep. Anthony Gonzalez should not be representing the people of the 16th district because he does not represent their interest or their heart. Max Miller has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Anthony Gonzalez was elected to congress in 2018 narrowly defeating Pro-Trump Conservative Christina Hagan in his primary race.
