North Carolina county votes to remove Coca-Cola machines from government buildings
Surry County commissioners sent a message to Coca-Cola after the sugary and unhealthy drink company smeared Georgia over its election integrity law.
The foreign-born CEO of Coca-Cola attacked Georgia for passing a basic election integrity bill that required, among other common-sense things, a government ID number to be provided on mail-in ballots.
CEO James Quincey is from Britain -- curiously, he has not said anything, it appears, about the Queen of England supporting photo ID for British elections.
A county in North Carolina is standing up against the company for its actions against its fellow Southern state by removing Coca-Cola’s machines from government buildings. While Coke has accused Georgia of racism, it once had to settle the largest racial discrimination suits ever for nearly $200 million.
“[Surrey County] officials in North Carolina have approved a ban on Coca-Cola machines from its government buildings in protest of the Georgia-based company's recent opposition to that state's new voting law,” CBS News reported.
The county commissioners pointed out that Coca-Cola requires photo ID to enter its shareholder meetings, but yet the left-wing company had criticized Georgia for requiring identification.
The left-wing company has also not publicly spoken out against real oppression in places like China.
“Where is your outrage of this persecution in a Communist country in which Coca Cola is heavily invested?” Commissioner Eddie Harris said in his letter to the CEO.
Coke was one of a number of left-wing companies that lobbied against legislation to prevent the genocide and enslavement of Uighurs.
Remember, for Coca-Cola, the state of Georgia, that has been incredibly supportive of the company, is evil for protecting elections, but actual genocide is okay because it enriches the bottom line!
