NFL Star Jonathan Allen Calls Hitler 'Military Genius' In Bizarre Tweet, Later Apologizes
Jonathan Allen said Hitler was a “military genius” in a bizarre tweet.
Washington Commanders player Jonathan Allen apologized for his tweet praising Hitler.
“Jonathan Allen, a Pro Bowl defensive tackle for the NFL’s Washington Commanders, apologized Wednesday after praising Adolf Hitler earlier in the day in a since-deleted tweet,” Forbes reported.
A screenshot of the now deleted tweet thread in question is shared below:
“Responding to a question about the three people dead or alive that he would most want to invite to dinner, Allen named Hitler,” Forbes reported.
“Early I tweeted something that probably hurt people and I apologize about what I said. I didn’t express properly what I was trying to say and I realize it was dumb!” Allen said.
Twitter users from all walks of life criticized the defensive lineman heavily for his ignorant comments.
Do you think Allen needs to do more to apologize? Do you think he should have to meet with Holocaust survivors to learn about why Hitler was evil? Should the NFL take action? Let us know below!
