Newsmax Dropped by Atlantic Broadband, Cincinnati Bell, Other Cable Operators

While media coverage has surrounded One America News and its recent carriage struggles, Newsmax TV has also lost distribution with number of markets in recent weeks.

AT&T has canceled conservative One America News Network, and now it appears other companies are attempting to do the same to Newsmax. The cancel campaign is not only a direct threat to our freedom of press, but it consolidates power and eliminates competition for major corporate media companies like MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News.

Next TV reported:

While the focus has been on its conservative programming rival One America News and its recent carriage struggles, Newsmax has also quietly lost distribution on a number of pay TV systems in recent weeks.

Since Dec. 31, Newsmax has been pulled off the pay TV grids of cable operators including Atlantic Broadband, Cincinnati Bell, South Carolina's Hargray Communications (now owned by Cable One) and Central Pennsylvania's Blue Ridge Communications. And these are just the cable systems that have dropped Newsmax that we know about.

“Despite our high ratings with personalities like Greg Kelly, Eric Bolling, Sean Spicer, Lyndsay Keith, Dick Morris, Alan Dershowitz, and more — it is clear that Blue Ridge doesn’t like Newsmax’s point of view,” Newsmax said.

Anti-trust lawsuits could potentially be used to take on the media companies’ continued blackout of alternative views outside of the Hollywood-D.C.-New York liberal perspectives.

Far-left groups have used social media activism to urge TV operators to drop channels including Newsmax, OANN, and even Fox News. While they may not being gaining traction against the giant Fox, they’re certainly damaging the bottom line for OANN and NewsMax TV.

OANN only remains on Verizon Fios in terms of major distributors, while Newsmax still remains on virtually all major distributors including DirecTV and Dish Network.

Only time will tell if Newsmax and OANN continue to face cancellations due to far-left anti-free speech advocates.

Should Newsmax and OANN file federal anti-trust lawsuits? Do you think this will help failing companies like CNN? Let us know below!
