Michael Flynn’s Family Hits CNN with $75 Million Defamation Lawsuit

Two relatives of President Trump’s former national security advisor sued CNN for falsely claiming they were part of QAnon.

“Two of former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s relatives filed a $75 million defamation lawsuit against CNN on Thursday,” the Daily Wire reported.  Jack Flynn, Michael Flynn’s brother, and Leslie Flynn, his sister-in-law, filed the suit.

The lawsuit stems from a February 4 segment run by the liberal “news” organization on QAnon that showed footage from the riot on January 6 and then showed the Flynn family saying the Pledge of Allegiance at a 4th of July gathering last year.

CNN showed Flynn saying “Where we go one, we go all,” but cut out his family saying “God bless America.” “Where we go” is often used by QAnon. The lawsuit states that the phrase comes from President John F. Kennedy’s boat, according to Just the News. The publication did not link to a copy of the lawsuit in its reporting.

“Jack and Leslie Flynn contend, however, that the slogan is unrelated to the movement and that they are ‘not followers or supporters of any extremist or terrorist groups, including QAnon,’ despite being allegedly inaccurately portrayed as such,”  according to the Daily Beast, which also did not link to the actual lawsuit.
