Joe Biden Pushing for ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban After Colorado Shooting
Joe Biden has called for an ‘assault weapons’ ban following the tragic attack in Boulder, Colorado killing 10 innocent people.
The Biden Administration is not letting a crisis go to the waste as they have already called on the US Senate to take immediate action on H.R. 8 and H.R. 1446.
In remarks to the nation yesterday, Biden pointed to past legislation on gun control that he passed as a senator, “I got that done when I was a senator. It passed. It was the law for the longest time. And it brought down these mass killings. We should do it again, We can ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in this country once again.”
These bills would fundamentally change gun laws in America and the process for issuing background checks.
National Security analyst and New York Times Best-Selling Author, Brigitte Gabriel, took to Twitter to blast Biden’s call for gun control while simultaneously ignoring the crisis on the southern border.
Founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, pointed to Colorado’s already strict gun laws adding “criminals don’t follow the law.”
Do you think stricter gun control measures will lead to a reduction in gun violence? Can H.R. 8 or H.R. 1446 pass the senate? Comment your thoughts below!
