While interviewing on MSNBC, Congresswoman Jayapal made the bizarre claim that President Trump is “actively courting a rising of the Confederacy.”

Congresswoman Jayapal’s statement was especially bizarre given President Trump’s history of passing criminal justice reform.

The interview covered the new House policy instituting metal detectors, GOP Members attempting to carry firearms on the House Floor, and President Trump’s actions following leaving office.

This is not the first time Congresswoman Jayapal has made headlines for making bombastic statements, it’s a calling card for the controversial Representative from Washington.
