Georgia Congressional Candidate refuses to disavow endorsement from ‘RINO Group’ tied to never-Trumpers
Dr. Rich McCormick, a GOP candidate running in Georgia’s hotly contested 6th Congressional District primary, received a controversial endorsement from the establishment Adam Kinzinger-tied Republican Mainstreet Partnership PAC.
“Here's our affiliated PAC's initial list of candidate endorsements for the 2022 midterms -- the Main Street Majority Makers,” the establishment DC-based political action committee that prides itself on being bi-partisan announced on Twitter.
One of the names included on the slate of endorsements is Dr. Rich McCormick, a failed 2020 Congressional candidate who is running again in 2022 (in a different district).
After briefly reviewing the organization’s platform and agenda, it’s no surprise the PAC’s membership includes a long list of never-Trumper and RINO Members of Congress. Eight out of the ten (8/10) Republican Representatives in the House who voted to impeach President Trump are also members of the DC PAC.
Members of Congress associated with the Republican Mainstreet Partnership PAC include (but are not limited to):
Rep Adam Kinzinger, voted to impeach President Trump
Rep Anthony Gonzalez, voted to impeach President Trump
Senator Susan Collins, voted to convict President Trump
Rep Peter Meijer, voted to impeach President Trump
Rep John Katko, voted to impeach President Trump
Rep Dan Newhouse, voted to impeach President Trump
Rep Fred Upton, voted to impeach President Trump
Rep Jaime Herrera Beutler, voted to impeach President Trump
Rep David Valadao, voted to impeach President Trump
In addition to members voting in favor of impeachment, twenty-four (24) of the group’s members voted in favor of forming the controversial January 6th Commission.
After reports surfaced on Twitter and local radio about the PAC’s association to high profile RINOs like Representative Adam Kinzinger, the controversial never-Trump Congressman was pulled off the site’s membership list.
The Patriots Gazette reached out to the PAC for clarification about why Kinzinger was taken off the site — the Washington DC-based PAC did not respond prior to publication.
Beyond the list of Members of Congress who voted for the impeachment of President Trump, it also includes dozens of Representatives and Senators with failing or near failing grades from the NRA, Heritage Action, FreedomWorks, and the American Conservative Union.
The Republican Main Street Partnership PAC is not considered a conservative organization, it has a reputation for being an extremely moderate establishment PAC focused on bi-partisan legislation that works with Democrats and moderate Republicans.
Some of the recent legislative priority issues for the Republican Mainstreet PAC include (but are not limited to):
Red Flag Gun Laws
Green Energy
Government Funded Childcare
Wage Equity
PPP Extensions
Knowing all of this, when pressed by local media, the GA-6 candidate Dr. Rich McCormick, refused to backtrack or denounce the endorsement from the PAC.
Conservative pro-Trump radio host John Fredericks brought to light the PAC’s endorsement of McCormick and their swampy ties and RINO agenda. Still, McCormick refused to denounce the PAC’s endorsement.
An excerpt from the John Fredericks Show with McCormick refusing to disavow the endorsement is shared below.
John Fredericks shared the full 18 minute encounter with McCormick on his show on social media.
From the Republican Mainstreet Partnership PAC’s troubling legislative agenda to their shameless affiliations with never-Trump legislators, it’s shocking McCormick refused to disavow the endorsement from the establishment DC PAC when given the opportunity.
Georgia’s 6th Congressional District remains a wide-open race with over 60% of the primary electorate remaining undecided according to recent polling released. Candidates running on the Republican side include Jake Evans, Blake Harbin, Meagan Hanson, Suzi Voyles, Mallory Staples, and Mainstreet PAC endorsed Rich McCormick.
EDITOR’S NOTE: The Republican Mainstreet Partnership PAC removed Representative Adam Kinzinger from their website after news broke online about the PAC’s association with the controversial never-Trump Congressman. It is our own publication’s opinion that the DC PAC most likely removed Kinzinger to prevent a PR nightmare for their endorsed candidates running in competitive primaries.
