Food prices skyrocket 32.8% as the economy falters under Biden
President Joe Biden was given a golden opportunity and has completely squandered it.
President Joe Biden came into office with an economy all revved up, due to pent-up demand from the COVID lockdowns. Furthermore, he had a free vaccine ready to go, and distribution had already begun. People were ready to return to normal, spend money and the economy would have boomed.
But he completely failed, leading to sky-high gas and food prices.
“Food prices hit a 10-year high worldwide, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)’s food price index. U.S. companies are feeling the pinch, resorting to increasing prices to offset their costs to purchase goods and deal with labor and transportation problems,” the Center Square reported.
“Overall, FAO index prices have increased by 32.8% over the past 12 months, the highest they’ve been since 2011,” Center Square reported.
“Likewise, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index continues to report increases in the cost of food,” Center Square reported. “The largest food increase in August was the price index for meats, poultry, fish and eggs. The index for beef increased 12.2% from the previous year, and bacon increased by 17% during the same period.”
Hard-working Americans are suffering under the Biden-Harris-AOC economy. Patriotic Americans want to just go to work and put food on the table. But leftist economic policies are harming hard-working patriots every day.
