Ex-Romney Staffer Turned Congressional Candidate Patrick Witt Has A Lengthy Rap Sheet

Patrick Witt is running for Congress in Georgia’s 10th District. He’s seeking to replace Representative Jody Hice, but it appears the ex-Romney staffer has a long history of crime and possibly even sexual assault.

Patrick Witt doesn’t live in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District, but that hasn’t stopped the aspiring career politician’s ambitions to run for Congress in the district.

Now, reports are re-emerging about Witt’s shady past which includes working for Mitt Romney, arrests in 2 states on 5 separate charges, and even accusations of sexual assault while Witt attended the elitist Ivy League school Yale.

Witt has a repeated history of drinking too much and then behaving erratically:

  • 2007: In Nebraska, where Witt was enrolled for two years at the state’s flagship university in Lincoln. According to the University of Nebraska police, Witt entered a residence hall at 1:50 a.m. on Dec. 9, intoxicated, signed in using a false name and went upstairs without waiting for the escort required for a visitor. The police said Witt also pushed and threatened a student official who tried to stop him, then ran away from a police officer.

  • 2010: In Connecticut, after an altercation over Witt being denied entry to Toad’s Place, a nightclub near campus, Witt was charged by the New Haven police with third-degree criminal trespass.

Unfortunately, the ex-frat star from Yale doesn’t just have a history of intoxicated disturbances and working for RINOs like Mitt Romney, Witt was also accused of sexual assault by a fellow classmate while attending Yale.

Witt ended up withdrawing his consideration for the prestigious Rhodes Scholar award reportedly due to the allegations. Witt’s accuser would never formally file a complaint with the police, however, when Yale had the opportunity to deny the accusation, they chose not to.

Patrick Witt, an Atlanta Lawyer who once told Jezebel Magazine that his ultimate goal is to have an, “appointed position in the federal government,” is now running for Congress in a seat he lives nowhere near and has no ties to. Will the voters of Georgia’s 10th be fooled by the ex-Romney staffer?

Recent polling suggests no, as pro-Trump trucker Mike Collins holds a commanding lead while Witt does not even register at 1%.

Should Patrick Witt drop out in light of his criminal record and accusations of sexual assault? Should candidates for Congress have to run for office where they live? Should working for Mitt Romney disqualify candidates running for office? Comment your thoughts below!
