Elizabeth Warren blames grocery store greed for high food prices
Instead of blaming inflation and supply chain issues for high food prices, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is blaming grocery stores.
The far-left Senator from Massachusetts sent a letter to the heads of Kroger, Publix, and Albertson’s accusing them of price gauging — the letter was then shared with NBC News.

Meanwhile, producers and grocers are exploiting the pandemic to jack up prices more than necessary to pass on increased costs to consumers, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., blasted in a new letter sent to the heads of Kroger, Albertson's, and Publix and shared exclusively with NBC News.
“Your company, and the other major grocers who reaped the benefits of a turbulent 2020, appear to be passing costs on to consumers to preserve your pandemic gains, and even taking advantage of inflation to add greater burdens,” Warren wrote.
“Your companies had a choice: They could have retained lower prices for consumers and properly protected and compensated their workers, or granted massive payouts to top executives and investors, it is disappointing that you chose not to put your customers and workers first.”
Warren took her rage against grocery stores to Twitter as well blaming their pursuit of profits for the rise in prices.
Inflation is likely driven by a number of issues including the big government policies that pay people to stay at home while making it expensive for hard-working Americans to run a business, due to sky-high gas prices and the supply chain crisis.
Confidence in the economy is at its lowest since 2008, and it appears our leftist politicians are going to blame the companies rather than themselves.
